The Austin Dog Trainer is here to help facilitate communication and understanding between humans and dogs and to allow each to fully realize their respective potentials as relates to the canine/human bond.

Our lead trainer, Jeanette Payne, endeavors to ensure that all dogs that touch her life will find harmony with the humans to whom they’ve been entrusted.

Jeanette has been working with dogs and horses since the age of 4 when she got her first of many horses. Soon after, her family began raising German Sheperds and they always had mixed breeds or Mini Daschunds. After training her dogs to sit, shake, and other behaviors, she decided to try it on her horses and discovered she loved interacting with animals in that way and watching their learning process. She found that she learned as much, or more, in the process as well.
